Short version: the calculators send nothing anywhere. Advertising and analytics are the only things on this site that touch your data, and both are described below.

What the calculators do with your figures

Nothing leaves your browser. Every calculation on this site runs as JavaScript on your own device. The dimensions, weights and quantities you type are not transmitted to any server, not logged, and not stored. You can disconnect from the network and the tools still work. This is deliberate, because consignment dimensions and volumes reveal a good deal about a business.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Advertising partners may collect your IP address, device and browser information, and pages viewed, in order to select and measure adverts. This site does not receive that data in identifiable form and does not build profiles of visitors.

Analytics

Aggregate traffic figures — which pages were viewed, roughly where visitors came from, which device type they used — are collected in order to know which calculators are worth maintaining. This data is not used to identify individuals and is not sold or shared beyond the analytics provider.

Legal basis and retention

Processing for advertising and analytics rests on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the links above or through your browser. Retention periods are set by those providers and detailed in their own policies. This site retains no personal data of its own.

Your rights

Data protection law in the European Union and the United Kingdom gives you the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing, to request restriction or portability, and to complain to your national supervisory authority. Because this site holds no personal data of its own, most such requests are properly directed to the advertising or analytics provider, and we will say so and point you to the right place. Children

This site is aimed at people doing their jobs and is not directed at children. No data is knowingly collected from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the change and its date will be described here rather than made silently.
